When I was in preschool, my favorite time of day was when I was allowed to draw and paint. As I got older, this love never faded for the visual arts. But life and family happened. When I was in preschool, my favorite time of day was when I was allowed to draw and paint. As I got older, this love never faded for the visual arts. But life and family happened. We had our first child in 1980. I served an apprenticeship as an Ironworker and after three years became a journeyman ironworker, but I still didn't feel like I was a master of the trade. I felt most comfortable designing and building stairs and railings out of steel and sometimes a mixture of steel and wood.
I worked at this until I couldn't physically perform anymore. So I retired from the trade in 2015 and started to focus on art again. With four children and nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren . We unfortunately lost two of our sons to the opioid epidemic. And I focused mostly on portraits of those who have past and families.
I have started to submit my works to galleries and shows and i work daily in my in house studio and I'm available for commissions. Thanks
I was first introduced to drawing as a young boy. We were a lower middle class family of eight. this basically meant less toys more hand me downs more sugar and butter sandwiches and not a lot of art supplies! we were an athletic family and very active in local sports. art was not a part of our lives at all. I remember as a small boy ripp

We were a lower middle class family of eight. this basically meant less toys more hand me downs more sugar and butter sandwiches and not a lot of art supplies! we were an athletic family and very active in local sports. art was not a part of our lives at all. I remember as a small boy ripping the paper grocery bags our mother brought home from Palisi's market up the road from our house, and grabbing a Ticonderoga #2 pencil and draw and draw. our dad used to bring me old blue prints from work and I would draw and draw.
All of this with graphite. So I have no problem using graphite and charcoal. I have been working with acrylics and oils as you can see in my gallery.
I really love the challenge of capturing the emotions of peoples' faces. I strive to bring those that are not with us any more to life and share their emotions with their loved ones. I believe no one leaves us as long as their memories are in our hearts and minds.
I am inspired by nature

I am inspired by nature and the animals that we all cherish, may they be domesticated or wild. The loyalty of a loving pet is unwavering and our memories of them should be our gift back to them as they cross the bridge to utopia.
And I am inspired by architecture and landscapes. Being a builder all my life gives me a much more appreciativeness for the work that goes into structures and the natural structures from creator.
I love to create art that makes us pause and have conversation about the world around us.
